Latest Updates from Our Project:

Molding Underway, Cylinder Holders, and New Accessory!
about 1 month ago – Tue, Sep 22, 2026 at 03:55:39 PM

Molding Underway

All of the coin moldings are now in progress! Our next step is to receive sample coins of a few full sets to verify (which will also be used to photograph and create the mini-card deck images from) and then we're off to full production! The revision process has slowed things just a bit more than we were expecting, but things are moving forward nicely. The writing of the guidebook has also just completed, and is undergoing editing before getting turned into its leatherbound book form. We're seeing excellent tangible progress with each step and milestone. Huzzah!

Updated Timeline

We're currently looking at late November for fulfillment. The moldings take a few weeks, the castings take a few weeks, the packaging takes a few weeks, and then there's the shipping to get here (about 3-4 weeks). We're doing our best to have all the accessories and add-ons completed and arriving around the same time. At present projections, we're optimistically going to say around the end of November to start having all of the components in hand and begin shipping, and will keep you all apprised of timeline changes as we go!

Cylinder Holder

We've finally got a preview of the cylinder case! This gorgeous accessory piece will hold a full set of Tarot Coins inside, with the inside lined with velvet and the outside carved and etched in wood and banded with metal.

Comes with a base stand for holding it horizontally, and it's naturally included with the Complete All-In set. It's also available as a separate Add-On if you want it as a separate accessory for your order.

Tarot Coin Holder Pendant

We've added the Tarot Coin Holder Pendant to the add-ons!

Made to quickly and easily snap in a coin to keep with you throughout the day by pressing the coin out from the back, it snugly and securely fits the Tarot Coins, and made to maximize contact and touchability of the coin itself. The clasp is made to be able to substitute the chain out for keyring hardware if desired as well.

This Add-On is naturally included in the Complete All-In bundle, a freebie bonus as our way of saying thank you to our all-in backers.

Coin Showcase

This update's coin showcase is the Four of Pentacles!

"Safe within the cold, solid, stone walls of the Four of Pentacles, a duke guards his treasures: whether gripped gently in his hands, tucked under his fur coat, or displayed proudly on his crown."

The 3D modeling process uses the 2D line art as the guideline for extruding and building bas-relief texture to give the coin extra body and dimension. Things like the fur turn out super cool as part of this process!

Pledge and Add-On Adjustments:

Just a reminder to fill out your survey pledges if you haven't already, and to keep your addresses current.

As part of the process for collecting funds for shipping and add-ons, your order details get locked when the cards are charged. We do this sooner rather than later so it doesn't come as a totally unknown credit card charge months down the line, but also locks your order against changes on components. You can continue modifying your address, but can't shift your order components around again just yet until it's unlocked. Around probably mid-October we'll unlock all orders again for a few weeks for final adjustments and Add-On additions before shipping begins, to give you the chance to reconfigure your order as more details have been released since the initial campaign. We'll announce when this is happening, and when we're about to close them again.

Thank you all! We're starting into spooky season soon, and look forward to updating you with our next round of details!

Ready for Molding!
2 months ago – Sat, Aug 29, 2026 at 07:07:12 PM

Hello Diviners!

Welcome back to school, or happy end to the summer heat, or wherever and however this update finds you! We've got a few quick things for you as we advance to the next phases and wanted to loop you in.

Development:
Our 3D modeling phase is currently undergoing the very final revisions and most of the coins are ready to begin molding - we're set to start next week! We'll be getting our production samples a few weeks after that of the finalized molded designs, which will probably make for one more round of corrections on some of the coins that turn out differently than expected in the mold phase. We anticipate having photos to share at the end of September of all the finished coins.

Once we have the finished coins, we'll also be doing the photographing of the actual coins to produce the mini card deck from the real coins, and starting to work on the personalized coins for all of the backers.

Wooden Box:
The box design is now complete and ready to undergo its sample phase, with the finalized design being carved, etched, and finished with an inlaid medallion. It's going to be a beautiful way to hold and store your coins, with room for the guidebook and the drawing bag inside, as well as the additional connectors.

The cylinder case is still being worked on and will be ready to show off in the next update - it's a difficult beast to capture the visual language and magnificence we're aiming for with it, but rest assured that it's going to be epic.

Survey Followups:
Most (though not all) of you have filled out surveys. We just want to remind you to keep your address current in case you are or are planning to move. We'll send out some very loud reminders as we get to the last days before fulfillment, but it's best to keep on top of it.

While the Complete Set people won't need to add anything to their bundles, some of those extras might be pretty tempting for you others. If you're on the fence about any of the accessories, we will be unlocking all orders again in the last month before fulfillment to make sure you can add any final add-ons you might wish to include, once the designs and final forms are all locked in and we've got current photographs. Pricing will go up once we hit the retail phase of the project, so we definitely encourage upgrading to the Complete Set because of all the extra goodies that naturally accompany the package.

We've brought the bag of sample coins with us to some of our local conventions to show off and they've had very positive reception. We're thrilled to see how people are loving seeing and handling them in person.

We hope you've all had a great August and look forward to sharing our next updates in the months to come as we get closer to the finish line.

See you soon!

Survey Updates, Milestones Reached!
3 months ago – Sat, Aug 01, 2026 at 10:14:58 PM

Surveys:
Thank you to everyone for your patience regarding the surveys! This was our first time using BackerKit for both the crowdfunding and the pledge management phases, and there was some learning curve. Some things had changed from the original campaign, and been adjusted, and how original pledges are handled is different from how add-ons are processed, which is different from how preorders are handled. You should now be able to enter in your text for the Personalized Coin stretch goal, or if you added it later, it should still prompt you for your text. We have also updated Individual Coin so you can now choose the plating Finish and the specific coin you want to choose. Three Coin Draw remains a random choice, but you can select the finish.

We think we have all the bugs sorted out, so double check your pledge surveys to ensure that you have all your questions answered (or that you can now see questions you were missing before), but if you have any recurring issues, please post in the comments so we can fix it up!

Personalizations:
Some people have been asking how the personalizations will work for the stretch goal. When filling out your survey, you're asked for the text you want to have inscribed, up to about 150 characters. We'll do line breaks for whatever seems to make the most sense with the text provided to fit inside a bounding box that is roughly square, centered within the circle of the coins. If you want things to be a little more formatted (and know HTML code like <br>, <i>,<b>, etc), we can parse out what you're going for, or write BLANK if you don't want anything on it. You can always submit a BackerKit support question and we can log it for when we get to the personalizations.

2D Artwork is complete!
The last of the Major Arcana reworks have been finalized and standardized across the set, so now everything has a unified look, cleaned up lines and nitty gritty details all hammered out. We have updated the images of the Major Arcana to the latest versions, but with that...all of the artwork is ready to go to 3D conversion phase! Which brings us to...

3D Conversion is underway!
The 3D conversion is happening for the rest of the Suits as we take the 2D art and sculpt it into 3D relief work to be molded. This will take about another month to get dialed in, do some test molds to make sure the coins turn out as expected, and once this phase is complete, we will begin production molding of the coins.

Bag samples are in!
The velvet bag samples have just arrived, and we're in love! They're royal blue on the outside with a velvety sheen, golden drawstring tassels, and a gold satin interior. Our first experimentations with the coins inside have them holding up very well, but the coins are heavy, so we're reinforcing the bag's interior stitching to make sure it's up to the task. It's also significantly larger than the coin set to allow the freedom to shuffle and rummage through the coins in the bag to find the one that attracts you,, and will also accommodate the reading cloth and the accessories inside it.

Check out a video of the bag in action here .

Now that the main course of the coins and the bags are done, we're going to be turning our gaze to finishing out the other accessories and the retail packaging. We should have pictures of those hopefully by the end of August, and probably a mini-update with the concept art before then.

We hope your summer is going well, and we're very much looking forward to our next round of updates!

Surveys are out!
4 months ago – Tue, Jun 30, 2026 at 08:17:38 AM

Hello Readers!

The surveys have been sent out!

Pledge Management Phase:
We are now entering the pledge management phase, which means you can make adjustments to your order and your original pledge, add additional items, change out your add-ons, etc. The money you pledged in the campaign becomes essentially "store credit" to be used towards items in the preorder store. If you have other things you want to add to your order, you'll have the opportunity to purchase them at this point, otherwise your default order should match up 1:1 with what you pledged for.

We still have awhile to go before we have photos of the velvet pouch, the cylinder holder or the wooden box, but we're working on them and will ensure they are epic

Shipping Costs:
Reminder, shipping is being assessed based on your total order when filling out your pledge surveys - this was indicated in the campaign, but we do not give refunds purely on the basis of shipping costs. Please account for this in your checkout phase!

Ordering Additional Sets:
With the release of the plating pictures, some people indicated they wanted to get additional sets. If you want to purchase additional sets, we are running a promo on them to do additional set of 78 coins at a discount for $129. This will only apply if you order *additional* sets, in addition to your initial purchase, and does not apply to the Minor/Major Arcanas or the accessories bundles.

Right this moment, there's an issue in the creator dashboard that's not allowing us to change or create new add-ons. This will get adjusted in the near future when their portal is fixed, but if you have a second set, we will issue a credit in your profile if you have a second one ordered.

We anticipate getting some additional questions, so please feel free to contact us. We will make some adjustments to the surveys based on feedback as well, so email us or let us know in the comments if you need clarifications.

We're looking to start shipping around September/October, so you will have plenty of time to make further order adjustments and address updates.

Thank you, and hope you enjoy!

Color Samples Have Arrived!
5 months ago – Tue, Jun 09, 2026 at 06:12:13 PM

Hello Backers!

The color choices have all arrived! We've been waiting to send out surveys till we had these in hand to update with good pictures of them.

We've also got short videos coming so you can see them in action. There are more specific pictures in the Rewards section of the campaign now with a front, back, and angle view. Some of the Shiny and Rainbow colors have some difficulty taking good clear pictures, so the videos might be more useful, but we're excited to have them to choose from at last!

We are currently finishing the last of the suits, anticipating wrapping them up probably around the end of the month. The Swords are currently getting their 3D renders done for adjustments in coin form and will be the first suit ready molding while the others undergo their final line art revisions.

Many of the scenes have had reworks done to more clearly convey the messaging of the card and give more symbolic significance to the scene, and we're looking forward to sharing those with you as well.

We'll post soon when updates are headed out to everybody, just need to get our media converted and accessible for helping make selections from (and to try to add some more details to some of the other add-on items as well). Stay tuned for more details!
